What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that the visited sites send to the user's terminal (desktop, tablet, smartphone, notebook), where they are stored, to then be re-transmitted to the same sites on the next visit. Cookies enable the site to recognise the user's device and allow the user to navigate between pages, remembering preferences and improving the user experience. Cookies are used for different purposes: performing computer authentication, session monitoring, memorisation of information on specific configurations concerning users accessing the server, memorisation of preferences, or to facilitate the use of online content (such as keeping track of items in a shopping cart or information for filling in a computer form, etc.); but they can also be used to create user profiles, i.e. to 'observe' the user's behaviour and preferences, e.g. in order to send targeted advertisements, measure the effectiveness of the advertising message and adopt commercial strategies accordingly. In this case we refer to cookie profiling.
Cookies can be created:

  • from the web server of the site visited by the user (so-called first party cookies);
  • from sites or web servers other than the one visited by the user (so-called third party cookies). Unless otherwise specified, we remind you that third party cookies fall under the direct and exclusive responsibility of the administrator itself. Further information on privacy and their use can therefore be found directly on the sites of the respective administrators.

More generally, some cookies (called session cookies) are assigned to the user's device only for the duration of access to the site and expire automatically when the browser is closed. Other cookies (referred to as persistent) remain on the device for an extended period of time.

Cookies used by the website

The Website uses different types of cookies for different purposes. Some cookies may be provided by external third parties to integrate additional functionality to our Website as indicated below.
The cookies are exclusively technical, for which users' consent is not required.
This cookie policy lists, for each category, the cookies used and any third parties.

List of cookies

1. Strictly necessary technical cookies
Technical cookies are necessary to perform the transmission of a communication on an electronic communication network and to provide the service requested by the user. They include:

  • Session or navigation cookies: these are cookies that are not memorised in a permanent form on the user's terminal and are deleted when the browser is closed, and are strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers necessary to allow secure and efficient navigation of the site.
  • Functionality cookies: they allow the website settings chosen by users, such as language or privacy preferences, to be remembered in order to improve the services and navigation experience.

In relation to these types of cookies, it is not necessary to obtain the prior and informed consent of the user.

  • cookieName2013 - storage duration: 1 year

2. Third-party cookies
These cookies are necessary to have functionalities developed by third parties on the Site, such as the display of Google Maps. N2S srl does not manage the setting of these cookies. Further information can be found in the privacy policies on the associated third-party websites.
The Privacy Policy of the Google services available on the Site (Google Maps, Google Fonts) is available at the following link (active at the time of the last revision of this document).
